Girl With The Dragon Tattoo & The Conjuring

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo title opening has a contrast of both elegance and violence/darkness . There is also a running theme of liquid/water and there is rarely any colour only dark/dull colours such as black and grey. This immediately sets the tone of the film even before we are introduced to the the title. When the sequence first starts there are quick flashes with visuals of what seems like a 'dragon'. It isn't completely clear, but we can see the snake/croc skin texture. This is then followed by liquid oozing or dripping out of different places with a overlay of text - displaying the producers, cast and so on. The movement of the visuals are quite graceful/elegant at first then get progressively more fast pace and violent with more colour from the fire.
The music from The Conjuring title opening immediately sets the tone of the film as quite sinister. There is also an abundance of black and white family photos, faded photo clipping and other negative photos
