46.Rough Cut Feedback

The feedback from our rough cut was that we needed an opening establishing shot to open the scene. At the moment the opening scene doesn't really establish the location and just jumps to the actual film.
Also we haven't included enough shots that show different angles and some of the shots we have are too long from just one angle. From this feedback we have decided to go back to our location and film some more shots to fill in the missing gaps and make each scene more interesting.

43. Reflection

 Reflection
__________________________________________

After our first session on sunday in the half term we reviewed our footage, and realised that our choice of location affected how well we could get the shots that we wanted too. We chose to film at camden lock which ended up getting really busy. This affected our filming because before every shot we had to make sure it was safe and convininet and that we werent going to get in anyones way.  So overall our choice of location was bad and we knew that we would have to change it, in order to be able to get the shots we wanted. We decided that we would return to Camden in a couple days and try to find much more quiet place that would also work with our chase scene.

We found that the school girl costume worked really well as we thought we were able to get the vunerability of her age across. However Aamir originally wore a big jacket but found it was hard and inconvinient to run with. So he decided he would wear something lighter such as a tracksuit.

This was our original location

Filming photos - The Shop

Welcome back to the blog!,
Here is a collection of photos we took at our first location - the corner shop.
Before we started, we walked into the shop and asked the owner of the shop permission to film. We also told the owner what the film was for and what it was we wanted to achieve in regards to camera shots and concept. He gladly accepted and was actually involved in the filming!

Director

As director, i decided to visit the area of filming beforehand so i could picture some shots in my head first to be prepared for filming day, i took some videos of camden before we filmed so the team could gain an insight of the area

Practice shots

We  did some practice shots using the camera in order to get an idea of how we will film our running shots. A lot of the shots in our opening will be focusing on certain body parts such as the feet and so this is what we tried to practice.

40.Revisions to the pitch

We have revised our pitch and feedback.

We decided to make some decisions and change a few things,

Firstly we decided that 'The Pursuit' wasn't a suitable name for an independent film as it sounds like a hollywood production. We have changed the Title to Garage 32b.

This leads to our second change, the story. Instead of a mysterious envelope we will have a key with the tag 'Garage 32b' on it, instead of the girl collecting an envelope she will collect this.

Another change would be that the ending will be different, instead of a blackout and a sound of a car horn we will have the girl drop the key and not realise until her pursuer is long gone.
