4 Type Of Film Openings
In the film industry of title sequences there are four different types of film openings in this short brief blog i will explain all four and what each individual one involves.
Title on a black screen
- Based on different typefaces fonts so there is a variety of choices to reflect your film style.
- Its really cheap to do black screen design title sequence as it requires minimal ability just software.
- Very simplistic and not difficult to get point across or information
- Same font theme throughout the whole title sequence
Title on still images
- Includes visual imagery with text to allow genre to be obtained through visuals.
- Many combinations of different medias into the background
- Introduction into the films tone and theme of the film
Titles over moving images

- Moving images within the title sequence can represent narrative thread or metaphor
- Also allows to introduce the tone of the film and theme of the film
- Usually has no dialogues and integrates credits with the moving imagery
Titles using animation/motion
- More requirements for such thing as digital technology and stylized editing
- Specialist are needed to create abstract or certain animations
- Increase popularity in the 1990's
